History
James began exploring digital imagemaking and photo manipulation in 1991 using an Apple LC, Photoshop 2.0 and Quark XPress. He worked with a group of local artists to create a 20 page "magazine" layout with original artworks, writing and photography. Fascinated by the possibilities, James enrolled at Massachusetts College of Art and graduated in 1998. Turning his love for teaching and his love for technology into a viable career has been the focus ever since. After time spent in Boston animating modules for online textbooks using Flash, James moved to Portland, Maine and began teaching web design and development for Portland Adult Education. He continues to learn and explore scripting and other aspects of web development to stay current in the marketplace, and has also been working as a Digital Tech for local photographers.
